What is tapping chuck?
Tapping chucks (also: tapping chucks) are characterized by a double clamping system. The shank is fixed and centred by turning the lower locking ring. In the rear area, the square of the tap is fixed against rotation by tightening the hexagon socket screws. The clamping range is suitable for taps of M3-M12 in the version without fixed Morse taper and of M3-M12 and M 12 – M24 in the version with fixed Morse taper. The tapping chuck can also be used as a drill chuck. The cylindrical shank of the drill bit can be fixed in the front centring.
